ALEXANDER'S LIFE STORY:
Alexander Harris was born January 15, 1970, to Dorothy Harris of Sawyerville, AL. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Baptist Church in Sawyerville, AL. Alexander graduated from Greensboro High School in 1989. He attended Stillman College of Tuscaloosa, AL. Shortly after he joined the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge years later. Alexander was known as Ashani Alexander, an artist who enjoyed painting and drawing in his spare time. Alexander transitioned peacefully to be with the Lord at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL on November 23, 2025. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cassandra Gaitor Harris; sister, Dorothy Mae Harris; brother, Franklin Harris; nephew, James Harris; and best friend, Van Dubose. He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Jasmine Harris of Greensboro, AL; mother, Dorothy Harris of Sawyerville, AL; one grandson, his pride and joy Anthony “Casey” Gooden; two godparents, Patricia and Joe Johnson of Demopolis, AL; one sister, Elizabeth Hill of Dallas, TX; three devoted cousins, Ushika (Charles) Patrick, Perronica Kennedy and Ebony McCray. A devoted friend, James Ward of Diamond Bar, CA; A host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
