GENINE'S LIFE STORY: was born on December 1, 1976 to Princella Willis Parker and Horace Parker in Bayside, New York. She was the only child born to this union. She departed this life on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She gave her life to Christ at an early age, was baptized and joined the Mars Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Greensboro, Alabama where she served faithfully until her recent health failure. She loved her Pastor and church family as she loved her own family. She was a faithful member of the Pastor’s Aid committee. Genine was educated in the New York City Public School System. She graduated from Cardozo High School in Bayside, NY. She continued her studies in computer science at Queens College, NY and Concordia in Selma, Alabama. Genine was a sports enthusiast and a big Crimson Tide fan. She was very informed about political issues and current events. She took her right to vote very seriously. Never missing the opportunity. She also loved animals especially her dog “Buster”. Her favorite color was purple. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rev. Gilbert and Florida Willis of Greensboro, Alabama and fraternal grandparents, Horace and Antina Parker Sr. Her father, Horace Parker and eight uncles, Sewell, Arthur, Gilbert, Andre, James, Harold, Abraham, Stewart, and one aunt, Gussie. She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted mother, Princella Willis Parker Tuscaloosa, AL; two brothers, Rev. Quentin Jones (Pamela) of Maryland and Bernard Parker (Margo) Maryland; three aunts, Fannie Rogers (Kenneth) of Enterprise, AL, Minnie Parran Cheatom, Tuscaloosa, AL. and Minister Velora Abroms (John) of Tuscaloosa, AL; one uncle, Kenneth Gross (Gussie) of Prince Frederick, MD.; God parents, Rev. & Mrs. Carter of Gallion, AL; a special friend, Denise Silverburg (Robert) of Rosland, NY; God daughter, Peyton Bailey Aaron of Tuscaloosa, AL; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. She will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
