JESSIE'S LIFE STORY: Jessie Terry Abrams dedicated her life and career to caring for others. She was known for helping those in need without hesitation, and her faith served as the foundation of her life. During retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her children, celebrating the accomplishments of her grandchildren, and spending time with family. Jessie also took pride in home improvement projects, including remodeling her home and starting a garden with her sister. Whenever she returned home, she made it a priority to attend her beloved church, Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church.
Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Abrams Sr.; her mother, Elizabeth Apkin Terry; and her father, Albert Terry Sr.
She leaves behind her cherished daughters: Charlene Williams of Huntsville, Alabama; Amelia Prisco (Michael) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Raven Williams (Terrell) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and Jasmine Terry of Sawyerville, Alabama. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Jessie is further survived by her sisters, Carolyn Terry of Sawyerville, Alabama, and Ashley Poke of Eutaw, Alabama; and her brothers, Alvin Terry of Baltimore, Maryland; Daniel Terry (Sherrita); Phillip Terry (Marilyn); James Terry (Tracy) of Sawyerville, Alabama; Albert Terry Jr. (Jennifer) of Birmingham, Alabama; Lorenzo Terry (Jessica); Kerry Washington (Cameo); and Maurice Royal of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
She also leaves behind a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, love, and unwavering devotion to family.
Her legacy of compassion, faith, strength, and love will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her.
