OBITUARY
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mrs. Joann Fields Ellis. She was born to to the Annie B. Fields-Lee (Will Henry Lee) and the late Hurtis Prichard Tinker. She departed this life at DCH Regional Center on Saturday, June 22, 2024 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was a bright light to us all with a kind heart and she will forever be remembered. Joann confessed Christ at an early age and later became a faithful member and Deaconess of The Greater Saint Stephens Missionary Baptist Church in Sawyerville, Alabama for many years. She worked for the State as a Mental Health worker and later retired from Indian Rivers Mental Health Facility.
Joann leaves to cherish her memory her mother Annie (Will) Lee, Greensboro, Alabama; Loving husband and devoted husband of forty-two years, Timothy O. Ellis of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Children (1) daughter; LaShell Hedgeman of Birmingham, Alabama; (3) Sons; Tony (Shanita) McCollum, Timothy (Kendra) Ellis; Deon (LaKitha) Ellis all of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Grandchildren; Darshieka Jefferson,Jamonte Burrell, JerMichael Sanders, Samuel Henry, Davelice Jefferson, Cameron Ellis, Timothy I. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at The New Pentecostal Church, 708 Hobson Ct. Greensboro, Alabama 36744.
INTERMENT: Will follow in the Ellis Family Cemetery 170 County Road 18 Sawyerville, Alabama
