LIFE STORY: Mr. Curtis was born on September 1, 1947, to Woodrow and Lillian B. Hunter in Sawyerville, Alabama. He gained his wings on October 23, 2025, at Greene County Nursing Home in Eutaw, Alabama.
He was known to many people as Curtis Lee, a name he carried throughout the years. A farmer and animal raiser all his life, he was a man with a heart that fulfilled everyone. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do for you - just ask.
Curtis was preceded in death by both parents, Woodrow and Lillian B. Hunter; sister: Annie Hunter; brothers: Woodrow Hunter Jr., Joshua (Bro), Willie, James, Clarence (Cannon Ball) Hunter.
Curtis leaves to cherish his loving memories: brother Walter (Eleanora) Hunter of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Sisters: Cora H. Fields of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Geraldine Hunter (Dean) of Sawyerville, Alabama; sister-in-law: Jean Hunter of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, numerous cousins, other relatives and many many friends.
We as a whole – family of Curtis would like to thank Wayne Hunter, his nephew that helped him during his life’s journey. His sister, Dean was his caregiver for 7 months. His nephew, Chester Jemison (Sarah) who was his ride or die day or night. Not to leave anyone out just thanks to everyone who was there for Curtis and the family.
GRAVESIDE SERVICES: Will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, 12:00 Noon Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery Sawyerville, Alabama
