ESSIE'S LIFE STORY Ms. Essie Bell Moore affectionately known as “Ms. Essie” was born in Marion, Alabama to the late Kathy Lee Moore. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Ms. Moore was a strong Matriarch to her family and community lending a helping hand to anyone in need whether it was to be a seamstress, cook, leading the choir or doing missionary work, her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Ms. Essie Mae Bell Moore was preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Lee Moore; her sister, Mary Shine; her brothers, Eddie and Willie Moore; her lifelong partner, Mr. David Smith; their sons, Lorenzo, Carl and Reverend Darryl Moore. Ms. Moore leaves to cherish her precious memories: a devoted son, Darnell (Dr. Mariel Moore); two sisters-in-law, Gracie Allen and Ada Williams; daughter-in-law, Irish Moore; a faithful niece, Dorothy Jean Ryans; twelve grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
