OBITUARY

The staff and management sadly announce the passing of Mr. Richard Fields, Sr., on March 9, 2023 in Detroit, MI., he was born to the late Rev. Ed ad Annie Fields in Sawyerville, Al. He confessed Christ at an early age and later joined St. Matthew Baptist Church in Sawyerville, Al. under the leadership of Rev. Alfred Fields. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Mrs. Geneva Fields of 64 years, (2) sons Richard Fields Jr., Anthony Sr. (Karen) Fields. (4) daughters (Lilly (Jerry, Sr.) Banner, Valarie Fields, Jeannean Fields, and Del M. Fields.  (1) brother Connie James (Mary) Fields of Greensboro, Al., (3) sisters Nettie B. Johnson of Cleveland, Ohio, Hattie M. Holifield of Cleveland, Ohio, and Annie B. (Will Henry) Lee of Greensboro, Al. (7) grandkids, a host of great grandkids, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at  12:00 noon at the St. Matthew Baptist Church, Sawyerville, AL. Body will lie in state 1 hour prior to service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and interment will follow in the church cemetery.
