ROBERT'S LIFE STORY: Robert Mickens was born on September 19,1932, in Greensboro, Alabama to the late Joe and Elizabeth Mickens.He confessed Christ at an early age and joined
the Mars Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Upon moving to Cleveland, Ohio he joined the Greater Friendship Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board for several years.
He worked at Lincoln Electric as an electrician until his retirement. On Wednesday, December 24, 2025 Robert Mickens was called to eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lottie
Mae Mays. He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Mary Wilkerson, Patricia Smith, Doris (William) Essex, all of Birmingham, AL; one son, Gregory (Melissa) Gooden of Mrytle Beach,
South Carolina; one brother-in-law, Jessie Mays, of Tuscaloosa, AL; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
